 David Taylor was in Delmar NY Oct. 10th and 11th teaching workshops and speaking at the QUILT Inc guild meeting. I learned a lot from him! He uses only fabric and thread to create these works of art - no paint or inks on his quilts! It was fascinating to listen to him describe the amount of details that go into each of his quilts. Each piece is HAND APPLIQUED in place. Here are a few pictures of his works.  Donna Hastings gave a lecture and workshop on paper piecing for the QUILT Schenectady guild on Oct. 3rd and 4th. Interesting technique - you don't stitch thru the paper. Here are some pictures of her piecing work (many were quilted by others for her). |
